Purpose: NonProfit Innovations, Inc. (NPI) is a nonprofit
provider of technical assistance and management support to under-resourced
nonprofit organizations through one-on-one consulting and outsourcing.
NPI is grateful for the opportunity to help small and emerging nonprofits
strengthen their infrastructure and programs at no or low cost.
In its second year, NPI has made headway in acquiring funding to
put its mission into operation.
Program and management highlights include:
- Partnered with the Harlem United, New York AIDS Coalition,
NYC Dept of Health and Philliber Research Associates to propose
to the Office of Minority Health a capacity building program for
HIV/AIDS organizations throughout the Northeast United States.
- Proposed to Medical Health and Research Association of New York
City to provide technical assistance services to NYC-based HIV/AIDS
organizations.
- Proposed to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services
Compassion Capital Fund to study the role and best practices of
intermediary organizations in supporting faith- and community-based
organizations.
- Established relationship with Dr. Willie Tolliver, DSW of Hunter
College, for future team approaches to funding applications. He
is a researcher.
- Ongoing development of a program to bring evaluation services
to struggling and emerging nonprofits per conversations with the
Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and the Jarve Commonweal Fund.
We have approached 20 other foundations exploring their interest
in these services as well.

in identifying and responding to federal, state, and local Requests
for Proposals for start-up monies.
